Chapter 2.32. VOLUNTEER POLICE RESERVE |
§ 2.32.010. Established—Function.
A police reserve as a volunteer organization composed of persons appointed by the chief of police and accepted by the city council is established. The reserve is to serve as a unit of auxiliary law enforcement of the city, pursuant to the provisions of city ordinances and the state laws relating thereto. The members of the police reserve, when ordered by the chief of police, or any authorized police officer, may assist regular officers of the police department in the performance of law enforcement functions as designated by the chief of police.
